Starline Brass Now Available for a Wildcatter’s Favorite: the .19 Badger

19 Badger

James Calhoon Manufacturing credits Jim Harrison of North Dakota for creating the .19 Badger, a wildcat based on the .30 Carbine.  The Badger name was supplied by Andy Waritz who killed seven of the tough little predators on his first outing with a prototype rifle.  The name stuck and the .19 Badger was born.

An extremely well-balanced cartridge, the .19 Badger offers flat trajectories with minimal recoil and very good accuracy.  Gun writer Don Lewis was impressed enough with the cartridge to add it to his list of the top five favorite varmint cartridges.

James Calhoon offers preformed brass in the .19 Badger, which makes loading the Badger a quick and painless process.  Load data for this cartridge was provided as a courtesy of James Calhoon Manufacturing and has been found to be safe in their rifles.
